Local Nurse Practitioner Joins Urgent Team

Urgent Team in Osceola is proud to welcome a local advanced practice registered nurse to their team. Tracie Krob, APRN, who lives in Leachville, joined the team mid-March bringing more than 20 years of nursing experience to Mississippi County.

“I’m very excited about joining Urgent Team,” Krob said. “My favorite part of being a nurse practitioner is meeting new people and establishing a lasting relationship. It’s rewarding to be able to provide quality care to those in need, and over time you really get to know them and their families, too!”

Krob is somewhat of a newlywed, having married local farmer Dal Luther two years ago. Luther, who is from a farming family and grew up in Leachville, grows cotton, peanuts, watermelon and strawberries. Together they have three children and one grandson.

Though originally from Wichita, Kansas, Krob, has been working in Jonesboro for the past several years. Most recently she served as nurse practitioner at NEA Baptist Memorial and at St. Bernards Heart and Vascular.

Krob says she’s starting to feel like a Delta gal: “The people in northeast Arkansas are so nice and friendly. They’ve really made me feel welcome. Small-town living is an adventure, whether it’s running into a new friend at the gas station – or getting golf lessons from a retired farmer.

In her spare time, Krob enjoys working in the yard, scuba diving and giving it her best shot at golf. She also likes to travel – “anywhere warm, so nowhere north of the Mason Dixon Line.” Krob also likes getting back to nature by trout fishing on the White River and she recently learned to bow fish. “Snagging a brown trout on my very first cast got me hooked!”

Before becoming a nurse practitioner by earning a master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Krob was a registered nurse for 13 years having earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. She is a certified family nurse practitioner, and certified in both advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.

“I’m looking forward meeting more great people and providing the best care possible to the deserving families in Mississippi County,” Krob said.

Urgent Team, located on W. Keiser Ave. next to First Commercial Bank, is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including during lunch.
